MISCARRIAGE

Regardless of how early in your pregnancy you were, a miscarriage can be unexpected and devastating for many. The sadness and distress can be overwhelming for some parents.

Although miscarriage is a common experience during pregnancy with 1 in 4 pregnancies* ending due to miscarriage, these statistics are little comfort.

There are many ways to honour your baby. If you experienced your miscarriage at home and have passed the embryo or fetus or your baby 'completely', some parents choose an urn to place their baby in. You may choose a few meaningful words or perhaps you have chosen a name which can be imprinted on top of the urn. Honouring your baby and your story allows you to cremate or bury your baby with respect and dignity. A way to soften the grief a little so they are always near.

Depending on the gestation at the time of your miscarriage, and in consultation with me, I can make the right size urn which can bring meaning to your grief and connection to your baby.

Please fill in the enquiry form in the 'Contact' tab and I will be in touch.

You can find support organisations under the 'Helpful Resources-Seeking Support' tab.

Please note:  Different people will use different terms such as embryo, fetus or baby. Each term is sensitive to the person experiencing the loss of the pregnancy and no offence is intended.
